
A round table discussion was conducted during the traditional international nuclear conference, organized by the Bulgarian Atomic Forum (Bulatom), on the issue of aircraft impact risk analyses of critical infrastructure (nuclear power plants and dam walls) and development of protection mechanisms. The topic is subject of contract, partially financed by the European Commission and executed by Risk Engineering Ltd. in cooperation with Wölfel Beratende Ingenieure GmbH (Germany), the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography to the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and Bulatom. Internationally recognized lecturers in the person of prof. Jorge Riera (Brazil) and Dr. Arja Saarenheimo (Finland) presented the latest analyses and research advances in the field:
